Application tips | Apply with a fertilizer spreader, the rotary type is recommanded. Do not apply by spreading the fertilizer by hand. We recommand that you repeat the application process twice, but only apply half of the recommended quantity each time. First walk up and down the lawn, then back and forth across the lawn. This application technique allows an even coverage and avoid misses and overlaps. Close the sprayer when filling and before turning corners or stopping to prevent burning due to excessive application. Hose out the spreader after use and sweep up any spills. Irrigate with 2 cm (1 in.) of water immediately following the application. |
Application rate for large deciduous, evergreens, fruits and shrubs | In early spring, work into the soil surrounding the tree or shrub at a rate of 115 g (1/4 lb) for each metre (3 feet) of plant height. For large trees use 225 g (approximately 1/2 lb) for every 3 cm (1 in) of trunk. |
Application rate for group planting or border | In early spring apply 1 kg (2.2 lbs) for every 30 meters (100 ft) 1 m (3 ft) of plant height. Work lightly into the soil and water. Repeat every six weeks, but do not fertilize after the end of july. Trees and shrubs can be fed again after leaf drop, late in the fall to increase carbohydrate reserves before winter. |
Application rates for perrenials | In early spring, incorporate Nuway all purpose natural 6-6-6 fertilizer into soil at a rate of 1,5 kg per 10 m² (3.1 lbs / 100 ft²) of fertilizer. Repeat towards the middle of the summer. |
Application rate for annuals | Prior to transplanting, pour 5 g (1 teaspoon) into the bottom of each planting holes and cover with 2.5 cm (1 in.) of soil. Insert the plant. Fill in the planting hole and water thoroughly. Use 15-30-15 Nuway soluble fertilizer throughout the season. Follow the instructions on label. |
Application rate for established roses | In spring, before flowering season, incorporate into soil 125 g (1/4 lb) of fertilizer per plant. |
Application rate for climbing roses | In spring, before flowering season, incorporate into soil 225 g (1 lb) of fertilizer per plant. |
Application for new roses planting | Mix 115 g (1/4) into soil taken from the planting hole and also from the bottom of planting hole. Cover the mixture with 5 cm (2 inches) of soil. Spread out roots over this soil, then fill the remainder of the planting hole with the soil and pack firmly. Water well. |
